Kerry. “Contract” means the contract between the centre and the customer for the provision of services. “Customer” means any person, company, firm or any other legal entity, including any employees, agents or subcontractors which places an order or purchases a service from the centre. “Service” means any course, product, service or facility offered by the centre to the customer.

Main Points

•If you cancel, we will only refund the booking cost if we can fill your place.

•We reserve the right to cancel any course if insufficient bookings have been received. A full refund will be made if we cannot accommodate you on another date.

•All bookings for applicants under 18 years of age are verified by the parent or guardian when the card transaction is processed.

•Failure to attend the course during designated dates will result in forfeiture of fees.

•As sailing is a weather dependent sport, the Dingle Sailing Club is not responsible for sailing time lost due to bad weather.

•All course bookings come complimentary with a temporary membership for Dingle Sailing Club which lasts for the duration of the course and following days. (7 days in total) Upon satisfactory completion of the course, they can apply to the secretary of the club to become full members.

•Dingle Sailing Club reserves the right to refuse a place and to exclude from a course any person who, in their opinion, behaves in an abusive or disruptive manner, prior to or during a course. No refund will be given in such circumstances.

•In case of injury with the participant, were we cannot reach your emergency contact number, we will bring the participant to the medical centre/hospital for further instruction and care.

•Participants will get wet and will be in the water for some of the time, this activity is undertaken at your own risk.

•If participants arrive before the designated time, the instructors and staff will be occupied preparing for the day.

•Our courses are Irish Sailing Certified courses. On completion of the course, there is no guarantee that the participant will receive a certificate. We believe it’s very important that certs are awarded when they are ready.

•Our instructors work very hard to make sure their sailors have a solid foundation of boat handling and we do not believe in qualifying someone purely based on participation. We strongly believe it’s about the skills and not the certs. We are a very boat handling focused club, we take a lot of pride in teaching skills from start sail, basic skills and Improving Skills to the correct standard.

•We do not take responsibility for any personal possessions such as jewelry, watches, and glasses etc. We advise not to bring anything of value on the water. If you need to wear glasses, it is possible to buy an attachment for the back of glasses for watersports.

•Participants are strictly forbidden to bring phones or other devices on the water. Phones and other devices are also strictly forbidden in the changing rooms.
